An 8lb 15oz sweet, loving, quiet (quite the opposite from her sister), perfect little princess. This past year has been a learning curve for me to say the least. I kinda thought I had motherhood all figured out, but mommy to two is a whole different ballgame! This was my first year as a stay at home mom, and I honestly thought I would be conquering the world...well that didn't happen...but I am so thankful for the opportunity that God has given our family for me to stay home with our girls. We are truly blessed!
Ok, back to Larsyn turning ONE! Sweet little L LOVES minnie and mickey so we thought it was only fitting to have that as our themed birthday party. Our amazing and talented daddy went to work on the door sign (he doesn't see the importance of this, but he humors me). He also made a big ONE for the table...he is so crafty!

Larsyn's special day started with an abundance of gifts from family and friends. I can't tell you how much each of you mean to us! She is SO spoiled, but we are very grateful you love our family and invest in our lives. Here are some pics of the 1 yr old (so crazy she is already ONE!) opening her gifts, some of them are kinda blurry...I was not on picture duty, but I am not pointing any fingers, <strike>daddy</strike>! (She liked the tissue paper the best).

After presents, it was cake time of course! I can't speak highly enough of Uptown Bakery in Edmond. If you live here, seriously check them out...AND if your little one is turning ONE, your smash cake is FREE! Larsyn was not too excited about the cake, we don't eat a lot of sugar at our house, so it was WAY too sweet for her...but we did get a few good pics!

And after cake it was swim time! Larsyn took a little dip in the pool with Daddy, doesn't it just make your heart melt to see a daddy with his daughter (in our case daughterS). It is such a special bond, and the girls are so lucky to call this man daddy!

Larsyn had her ONE year pics taken by Brittney Lynn Photography in Choctaw (check her out, she did great!), but I don't have the pics just yet, but I took a few pics in our front yard...not too shabby if you ask me...

I can't imagine what God has planned for this sweet girl, but I know it is nothing short of amazing. She is such a ray of sunshine and her laugh and smile are so contagious! Happy Birthday Larsyn Lane, we love you so much!

It feels like yesterday that we were taking her home from the hospital (completely clueless on how to care for a child). It is such an honor and a privilege to be Journey's mommy and to watch her grow and learn. This year I asked her what theme she wanted for her birthday party and she chose Cinderella. I figured it would change several times, so I waited a month or so, and asked again...still Cinderella! So we (Drew is a party planner too!) jumped in with both feet and planned the best (in my opinion) Cinderella birthday party EVER!

My new years resolution is blog more and document the hilarious moments in our day to day life, but first let me get you all caught up (or somewhat caught up) from last time, so here is the first blog of 2013!
A look back at 2012:
January-April were kind of a blur as Drew was in Afghanistan and I was working full-time, raising an 18 month old and pregnant! Thankfully I have amazing family and friends close by that helped in many ways!
The 2011-2012 school year was my first year teaching, God provided me with the opportunity to teach 5th grade at Angie Debo Elementary school, and let me tell you the teachers there are AMAZING! As most first year teachers, you really just try to survive, but my first year was more than that, it was a learning experience and I am so blessed to have experienced it. I met new friends, and learned a lot about myself.
Drew returned in April from a 4.5 month deployment...Praise God! He was safe and sound and ready to help deliver our 2nd daughter! We had found out the day Drew left (December 1st) that we were expecting...yes we were both shocked!

In May, I said goodbye to my first class, co-workers and paycheck! Drew and I (more me, with his support) decided to follow God's calling for my life at this moment and stay home with our children. I was very nervous for this change, but each day I see my children learning something I teach them, each sacrifice we have made to make it possible to stay home is all worth it! This is only a small season in my life, and yes I will return to teaching eventually, but right now this is the BEST time in my life and I am loving every minute of it. I truly believe God has already gone before me and planned my life and once I relinquished control of my fear of not contributing to our family he blessed me beyond measure by allowing me to stay home with my girls.
In June Journey turned 2! How can she be growing up so fast? She is such a sweet and funny child and keeps us on our toes! Her birthday was bubble-themed and she had a blast with friends and family. She also transitioned into her "big girl" bed and she did great! We actually dis-assembled her crib and put it in the garage so it wasn't an option for her to sleep in it ;)

I also bought an embroidery machine and was going to start a little side business...what was I thinking...I obviously wasn't! It was short lived and RoseLane Designs closed it's doors (for now).
July 26th 2012 at 4:58pm we welcomed Larsyn Lane Joseph into the world! She weighed 8lbs 15oz and was 21 inches long! We were so shocked she was so big since the doctor estimated she weigh about 7lbs.

For those of you who would like to know, here is how her birthday went:
On July 26th at 9:00am Drew and I went in for my last doctor appointment before I was going to be induced. The doctor checked me and I was dilated to a 2 and was effaced slightly, however she thought my water may have broken (slowly leaking)...wouldn't I have known if my water had broken!!! She also mentioned that her and her husband had tickets to a play that night so under NO circumstances were we having a baby today ;) Anyway, she sent me downstairs (we delivered at Lakeside, and I fully recommend it!) to double check if my water had actually broken and to monitor my contractions. Well my water had NOT broken however my contractions were about 4 minutes apart by now (10:45am). She was going to send me home and induce me the next morning, but she went ahead and let me walk the halls for about 45 minutes and she would check me just before she went to lunch...I was not up for this AT ALL...exercise at a time like this!?! About an hour later she came in and by the look on her face I could tell she was concerned, she told the nurse to get an IV started ASAP that I was dilated to an 8 1/2 and 100% effaced...what? In 45 minutes?! No way! I was in labor for 22 hours with little miss Journey so I just figured it would be the same...boy was I WRONG! I wish I would have known, I would have had a better breakfast! After that, I got the epidural although I think I could have done it natural I wasn't willing to risk it...ha! Family and friends can to the hospital and the doctor arrived around 4:30 after all her afternoon appointments and being paged because I couldn't wait ANY LONGER! I pushed for 12 minutes and our beautiful baby was here at last. I was so nervous that I couldn't love another child as much as Journey, but my heart grew so much when the doctor laid her in my arms. God has blessed our family with two happy and healthy children.

August and September were spent adjusting to the lifestyle of having 2 children (yes, it was VERY different). Journey tried to send Larsyn "back to where she came from" and wanted to know "where Larsyn's mommmy and daddy were". All the prep work we did obviously didn't sink in...but she has adjusted and is the BEST big sister around. Journey started Mother's Day Out and she is really enjoying it...her best friend Brice is in her class and their love/hate relationship is adorable.

October we went to the Parkhurst Pumpkin patch and the girls loved it. Journey was able to ride in the carriage, just like CINDERELLA of course! She is a celebrity in our house.

November we spent Thanksgiving with family and spent time talking to the girls about what our family has to be thankful for. Journey thanked God for each and every person, animal, and toy she could think of...it was precious!

December was a busy month of Christmas shopping (why oh why do I wait until December to shop?) We spent time with family and drove to South Padre Island on Christmas morning...we had to stop in San Antonio for the night because we hit the winter storm that arrived as we were driving. We didn't leave San Antonio until we gave the girls a history lesson at the Alamo! Then it was full speed ahead to the beach! We had lots on fun and there were 2 good bathing suit beach days, however Journey preferred the pool (isn't that how it usually works?). We rode scooters, went Bay fishing, mom and Taylor played Bingo, had family game night and ate LOTS of cookies!

We rang in the New Year and then headed home...the trip there was much harder than the trip home, the girls were troopers and Journey didn't have one accident...did I mention she is POTTY TRAINED! She has been since right after Thanksgiving!
She pretty much trained herself, although we did do a rewards sticker chart (the teacher in me likes to think this is why it happened so fast)!
All in all, 2012 was pretty spectacular! I can't wait to see what God has planned for 2013, I'm sure it will be just as special...who couldn't have fun with these two little people?!?

Well this blog has taken me 2 days to complete and is by far the longest you will see from me this year, but it's a start! Happy New Year! Love you all.

But if you had my crazy life, you would find it hard to update this thing too! For those of you that I haven't talked to since I started my new job, I LOVE IT! I have 23 kids in my homeroom and 24 in my math class (I teach 6th grade math to 5th graders)...to those of you that know me this is probably funny to you! I find my job challenging, rewarding, exciting, frustrating, exhausting, and humorous and that is normally all before the bell rings in the morning! I am learning so much from my kids and I hope I am teaching them a few things too :) I truly believe that I have the best job in the world (besides being a mom to the cutest and sweetest little girl ever and wife to an amazing husband)! About that little girl, she doesn't even seem little anymore :( She is so independent and hard-headed (Hmmmm I wonder where she gets this?). She is in the full-blown toddler stage and there is NO holding her back! She loves Melmo (adult translation Elmo) and Memo (adult translation Nemo) and she is very into scaring everyone...BOO! While at dinner the other night, she turned around and BOOed the man behind her! He thought it was hilarious and said it back...what a good sport! She loves to be outside and tried to go down the slide backwards yesterday...as you can imagine this did not go as she planned. Her vocabulary is growing daily and she probably has 20 or so words (that are recognizable). My favorite other than mommy is thank you :) As for the husband, he is spending a lot of much needed time at home before he leaves for overseas. He is enjoying his Journey time, there is something about a daddy-daughter relationship that just melts your heart. He is so good with her. I came home the other day and he was so excited to show me the new word he had taught her...I thought it would be something profound naturally, he said Journey say "Poo-Poo"...and she said it! So now my child knows poo-poo...thanks dad! I also recently had the opportunity to perform (cheer) at the halftime of my high school's football game. My former cheer coach coordinated an Alumni Night and it was a blast! There were cheerleaders from 1960-2010. I was able to catch up with old friends and make a few new ones. I attached a pic of that night...I am pretty sure I still look the exact same (has to be the bow)! As for the new house, we are pretty much settled in. We LOVE it, LOVE the neighborhood and we just couldn't be happier. Well that's what has been happening in our lives lately. Below are some recent pics...Enjoy and I hope your fairytale is as wonderful as mine!<img style="display:block; I mean the child did have a mullet, but it was a cute little mullet! I took her to my hair stylist, thinking it would be less traumatic for her...and me. I was partly right, I did just fine, Journey on the other hand had a fit. I am really shocked she has any hair left due to the sudden head movements during the process. But Shelly did an awesome job and Journey looks adorable. I had also been thinking about getting Journey's ear's pierced (for the second time...long story), and I thought why not just make today the most traumatic day of the child's life, so we got her ears pierced too! She didn't take well to the ear piercing lady either...go figure! I think my mom was the most stressed out...quite hilarious. Nevertheless, Journey has an adorable haircut and cute little earrings. I can't wait to put her pearls in that Gramps got her. I am going to have to think up something REAL special for this day next year :)
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 166px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjW0z_9hnhnPA7bTfXO1EG0r3OwMdLP_TpKa0yN1ot4TT9VnleO-sWBIzXKTApQankTQ9E-EVig000PNxwX-sH_noadEFVANwcCjyzMIrHNkXgYONoUjVo22WwpyhMxXR5NnMgQUY_g-4M/s320/DSC03681.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5632012281301794050" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 213px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhB6GryVhJjsX8EwQo7nzSnOTcO43j-XIWK2QB5fCsVCwMW7wvfQSoPGSOcS4HgryHnGTWYnu1r0Nxyd8OqkHGMOiodDys6QMm3CESSqgLS50pS-wD3SV8gsKN2f9UdDCXuaLCoFIrpKVw/s320/DSC03673.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5632012277981119394" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 278px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6S4KddZxyaAqWOnvd9KJJJAQgq0q1taqNXtG5kQfjTW3Rq_E-dEjZp4D_nRm262v4QDS0sNj_-0bSeCrSJZ-aaIz7Rnyy3oS4W59RMkPl9r7XRvUXUUNFMIngFAEhupELdU4jPmxVC5I/s320/DSC03715.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5632013114334743618" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 213px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhBexEOOHfryNV-BvglUXcmhGB888AleKVj-7nxQ2RfUgLD_9UgXN97wO9SZEyuUAd9TUxZWGv8NCEqyhVWNuvouap2T6lMV0F_7fZo2tucb_W8DCiKaT24iYRoxoflok8fI5K_ZHl2tgY/s320/DSC03698.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5632013111265285170" />Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13295902834784945563noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8173854059139071545.post-69408405557112599092011-07-21T19:48:00.000-07:002011-07-21T20:00:39.435-07:00Cheer Camp!Last week I had the wonderful opportunity to do a private cheer camp for Fort Gibson High School. I absolutely love their coach and the squad is just amazing. I had the time of my life re-living my cheer days :) Journey had the time of her life with Shari and Mary-Kate Cole, the sweetest people EVER, so patient and they just adored J. I learned two things at camp last week. #1 I miss cheerleading. #2 I am WAY too old to be tumbling!! The pics below are from Journey's 1st Cheer camp and her most recent :) Enjoy!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 199px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjXNWUOPT1oChnnTRj2tVaCcTJe8Ri0uCg4UHNRf-_O90EmGcWeDdMCDs3dvSEPJ4Pg3UUflqQwKorZublMYz-RVIKmnIa2QnyI_KEOA0HIroVSpJM-4AVKTCxmj7svViuuNlAURcUY8e8/s320/DSC03586.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5632005865399983570" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi9a7ElAJoKwhkHtugiKV4UvcihkPdphPwyQUe35pf7N1zghdYG-UV2AOcdE8iehJI3agbWxb-URql-uHNvbr_rhtSut7Fm-q8yqbHho3vRLYkX2CR-GfPHP7MYrCLYALBAExcbfXs7oW0/s320/IMG_0124.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5632005859680193282" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiEyNP0BO3xAvjMvbLOn1lQFOE63kTHtLPbw3n7q0bO2HBOPtM6GJt1dCPY35JUmACM4RkAWUc4K8vc91YPpCSQciMgBVDkmBLA9cdSiNKrAdNNq215rNwNneVUGMeiIzhbEBKu8vRm9k4/s320/IMG_0717.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5632005858799066722" />Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13295902834784945563noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8173854059139071545.post-13375424733407109902011-06-24T14:48:00.000-07:002011-06-24T14:53:05.154-07:00Captain America...So I need some creative and cool ideas for my classroom! Our school wide theme is "Hollywood". Our fifth grade theme is "Beyond Marvel" with the Marvel comic characters. My classroom is CAPTAIN AMERICA. Super cute, isn't it! I need some ideas for a word wall, my door, reading center, etc... Any ideas you have send my way :)Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13295902834784945563noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8173854059139071545.post-2998882181432795922011-06-08T19:30:00.000-07:002011-06-08T20:10:23.645-07:001 year already...WOW!<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 297px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgUcB6_0s5MLVjVFwFM7GDkAGzxhKFV1W_WEK6TdW7KpqtOm1Yoy0p-Jx5iXBw6w84rvgyhyuev8rqg3E-FEN1t4bftBaUfvLl1MgFj_aCcms1C-NefqgHew-h5chmD0H4NfyisQ8cI7vk/s320/DSC02999.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5616052001312960914" />

Hi Everyone! Hope you all are doing great :) I figured since I haven't updated this in many many months, I would fill you all in on what has been going on in our world lately! Well, I can't remember if I blogged about moving, but nevertheless we moved in August of last year to Edmond, and we are so glad to be back in civilization! Drew is busy as ever with work and training, I am OFF FOR THE SUMMER and loving it! I graduated in May with my 2nd Bachelors in Elementary Education and I will be teaching 5th grade at Angie Debo in Edmond...I still can't believe I have my very own classroom, any donations are always welcomed and appreciated! I actually met with my team of 5th grade teachers today to plan for the upcoming year, and I am so excited to be working with such amazing women. Most of you reading this are saying....ok ok that's great but what about JOURNEY! Yeah, yeah I am getting to her :) Drew and I are still house hunting, it is extremely difficult to find a house we both love...but I am sure there is one out there, and if there isn't, he will just have to compromise...I mean WE...haha! Ok, so Miss Priss, well what can I say other than that she is a HANDFUL! She starting really walking this week and I couldn't get her to crawl if I put her favorite snack (goldfish) on the floor! She loves Elmo, her blankie, and Hagan (our german shepherd). He is fond of her too, when she isn't pulling his tail or shoving a popsicle stick up his nose...yes she does this! She likes to throw everything out of the basket at the store and laugh hysterically, or she wants to walk next to the basket instead (that's real fun). She is becoming very independent, which breaks my heart because I feel like she doesn't need me...I know she is only "almost" 1, but she is GROWING UP! Her favorite thing this week is to crawl in and out of her little rocking chair...which was my grandfathers rocking chair when he was little! I would be willing to bet she climbs in and out of it at least 40 times per day...I get tired just watching her! I try all day long to get her to play with her cool toys, but she prefers to pull every plasticware item out of the kitchen cabinets or carry around a sock...I mean really, why even have toys!!! I am going to get rich by marketing wooden spoons in the toy aisle! What else....Oh yeah, Journey will be 1 on Saturday, I can not believe it has been a year, I look at her and she looks so big! We are having a Princess Pool Party at Gigi and Gramps house. It should be a blast. Well I think that about covers how the Joseph Family is doing. We love you all, and hope to see everyone soon!Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13295902834784945563noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8173854059139071545.post-75830183486749481462010-10-05T17:44:00.000-07:002010-10-05T18:48:12.332-07:00Wow Life Has Changed!<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjMoqXqkeYOeJ3qsLR3Gf8RGBYdjy2kX_FzzQvUIsZ_tjjkV41lGW5DEoPOzeyvMF6FpXM8hAHOVHly4C8Uo4OvbMsqfR_Rg5HwUTj1hnP4dgpcOu_9FlhJB4VakFkA3pZek0M3-_DJylE/s320/IMG_1010.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5524743945596155922" />
<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjdl7QGCjiBW47NPet_tErZqfOkCQin-xVzbeufnno8hsmn9ZlKBPN0kMQEVotI_0Z8fiMVj16lR_uypaZCPMcx8w2_1nfmr-RLD-IbJE5DN9FjavIy_BCffplGQuCv763xcKVuwuX1ozw/s320/DSC_0099.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5524743592887111602" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgyhyphenhyphenvGE6LIaEnkzx5OhDN2gYXfybLnWjJInh7CfN3NgIcqqTBUs9bOqzTJ6EW4F6dzqWfdRkLdZPQlYNm5d2t7-4ZPMoiDSGNzyyycOcmF2xYLjbAWJ5eZ8W-oKc6ZYywMgPKHJBt6ZdM/s320/IMG_1206.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5524743319051893602" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHnER5iZ7Q8LG2C8sKxcIjmFe3SDBBDYPeFxM05K4R2vbsyOoNk79l2N_-9KS5TdLuUqB9hd0rmoiXfCiPfIg-tTh4agNqzG_vfUsJFPXZx7cCAaECmhNJhvDFFygblGYvHv_rWpAAO-w/s320/IMG_0858.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5524743174457579506" />
<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgSRzmi-b8UCwmbYqjbgh_2yNs271vjJvmH6fgs-JtKCOSQJ7nv44jco9psacM4pgQTqWJv2LL3vx-2BUhSQXY6INDl1QbtkT0rsDaM8vgpgb9ryEYcnBFXoIPKpx6pbpSJ-x8Jvp0Nm4M/s320/IMG_0694.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5524742968707601810" />
Hey Everyone! Hope you all are doing well. Where do I start? The last few months have been crazy! Journey is growing so fast and we are enjoying every minute of her. She will be 4 months on October 11th! Where does the time go?!? She has started to roll over, she laughs all the time and talks (well baby talk). I am still working full time for the OSBI and I am finishing my last semester before my student teaching, and I am so ready to have my own classroom. Drew is busy as well, he just recently graduated from SOG (Special Operations Group) selection. He was gone for one month and he says it is the hardest thing he has ever done in his entire life. We are so proud of him! I am having a get together for him this weekend October 9, 2010 at 1pm to celebrate his accomplishment. Hope those of you who live close can make it, we would love to see you! Other than being super busy, we are doing wonderful. Drew and I were able to go to the OU/Texas game this past weekend. It was our first time, and it was so much fun. We drove down Friday night and stayed in Addison, then woke up and drove to Allen to the outlet mall, where of course Journey got lots of clothes :) then we drove down to Dallas for the game, which was awesome. Go SOONERS! Journey had fun too, she got to stay at Gigi and Gramps house (my mom and dad). We are loving living in Edmond and being close to everything, it is so hard to not just get take out every night! Hagan (our german shepherd) is doing great too, he hasn't tried to eat Journey yet! Overall, we are loving every minute of our little blessing and each other!
Love,
The Joseph FamilyAnonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13295902834784945563noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8173854059139071545.post-67258320807310361032010-07-14T10:49:00.000-07:002010-07-14T12:28:19.903-07:00The First Month!<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhBPCewWcSnnYmwjMWoJH2iiHZiVKJOwC2NgxtugkchJaiX1ZvCx2X42V6_Y50y5VmM3v6Quhup9T4LQi1NqnFoFWe1hr2E6DW5xAVIDZycG_lCWNmVyn6O8IfSN_sKXzGk46rqiGRH7Rg/s320/josephmaternity_019.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5493834295750446194" />
Hey everyone! I can't believe Journey has already been here a month! It has been the hardest and most rewarding month for Drew and I. We are so proud to be parents to our perfect little angel! She has been quite a busy girl since she was born. Listed below are a few of the highlights of the past month.....

*She got to meet a ton of family and friends
*She has already been to the Marshals office and the OSBI
*She had her first trip out of state
*She traveled 7 hours to Hannibal, MO to meet uncle Taylor
*She saw her first fireworks show
*She went to her first cave in Hannibal (home of Tom Sawyer...and they are very proud of it!)
*She went to her first baseball game
*She stayed in her first hotel
*She went to the lake for the first time
*She has had two photo sessions (she did not cooperate at the first one)
*She has been to two unsuccessful Wal-Mart trips (Target she does fine...strange)
*She went to 3 full days of Cheer Camp and LOVED it....a little cheerleader in the making I am sure :)
*She had lunch with Aunt Sarah, Cousin Connor and Adi in Edmond
*Gigi and Pops babysat her for a few hours while Drew and I had some us time :)
*She acquired a nickname "Junebug"

AND MOMS FAVORITE FIRST........Journey slept from 11pm to 5am....only one time, but it was so nice!

Drew just went back to work on Monday and he is so sad. He loved being home with us. He comes home so excited to see her and I am pretty much not the princess anymore....of course I have moved to the Queen's spot :) I love watching him with her, he is such a natural! He is an amazing husband and father.

Everyone should be getting a birth announcement in the next week or so, I know I am a bit late, but I looked up the etiquette and you can actually send them up to 6 months after birth! Honestly I would have had them out sooner, but our 1st photo session was not so productive. Journey pooped on the photographers WHITE sheet and after that she was so upset she pretty much cried (screamed) the rest of the session (Journey not the photographer!). Tara, the photographer, did get some pretty good shots though. Mandy, family friend and photographer came to our house and did a photo shoot as well. She did an amazing job and Journey cooperated a little better....not sure if she is ready to hit the runway and time soon and if she is, it will be on her terms!! Anyone who has facebook, be sure to add Mandy Lundy to your friends and comment on Journey's pics she has them posted! I don't want to spoil the surprise, but I want everyone to be able to see the photos we had taken. We are lucky enough to have two amazing friends that are so talented. We thank Mandy and Tara for doing such a wonderful job. You can view them on each of their websites listed below:

www.mandylundyphotography.com They are under "your proofs" and Journey Joseph
www.taralokey.com "proofs" "Journey's Newborn Pictures" password is "joseph" all lowercase

One more exciting update.......drumroll please..........Drew and I finally found a rent house in Edmond! We hope to sell our house within the next year and buy in Choctaw possibly but who knows we may love Edmond :)

Well that is all the news I have for now. Below are a couple of pics...hope you enjoy them.

We love you all!

Drew, Kristen and Journey

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGthcZTJLbSU3oWooXF2EsaSZlJGa2EeIWr2saOdaRo8Po4IY2WUi4Z5ipQc4bv8QxazrOGC0NRr4HAHhaJw8IxOcvbNCRGWu2UuuTJud8DcN2E0Ajbr-54hb8_YU8nVah-75hU6rs9LU/s320/josephmaternity_067.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5493836493502771842" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 214px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_GsnakBh-NTFO9ZnbFCNMu6JgDQ6KKR6C41JrUvjMc8jvmwFtwjyFmfWw0Kd6uQX_zaY2T1O7A92HRf_nOKLOICHQbvKK3nKgSUX9gd6emlFtHxcbe419UQ1Bv2W2ntcHiNGF6fVtZ-E/s320/josephmaternity_060.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5493836484510896002" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 211px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEixA7483iBD7maivIvU3kQys26YumDQru_75OvQB4MvVNcn_vRtm1pdg6165c9hg1VzuOfuhseC-C3xmd057dzUeBgHk5f8k7XZg0b1Ble9_QTHf0ouY_CXRBJ8WVFTg9I4JdCmjHoOrYE/s320/josephmaternity_022.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5493836472170000690" />
<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 256px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEidt52dfy-FrjpRuHvzG7AX0ol6vonqBpIMS_MRjh_Nl0V1yedA9EoXn0s39KpGXZuLh38yzX4ElYvLHIRQL94jSbwrr5rQuciYlgA1hez0xqsCO7MDWBtMpihvD2FOGSM-yuq1lMBvdX4/s320/IMG_0658.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5493842454649694818" />
<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhDCi-aurDHZWeTN2AZ2YSgNEaG7xnKP2uNUGhY_lkj50h6dXfeh3h9KyRBRaKaXe0CdslPYTXV5G-fRaLS90XtIwmA8di1LK4R-1LK6UjhmKqEevvXHSKvLJA98cRvCbj0xqDSUKs_z7M/s320/journey0_014.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5493842448186505714" />Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13295902834784945563noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8173854059139071545.post-38503534395697424092010-06-20T14:10:00.000-07:002010-06-20T20:33:36.497-07:00The New Addition to Our Family!Where do I start?!?! Since the last time I blogged a lot has happened....
The last few weeks of my pregnancy seem like a blurr, but I am pretty sure they were pleasant :) Drew and I went for my 37 week check up on Thursday, June 10, 2010. Everything started off normal, we waited in the waiting room for 25 minutes, then the nurse took my blood pressure and checked my weight (not fun!). My blood pressure was abnormally high as was my weight (haha). Drew and I went back to the violation of privacy room and the doctor came in and checked me. I was only dialated to 1 cm. The doctor was worried about the fact that my feet looked like a sumo wrestlers so she went ahead and rechecked my bp and it was super high. So the doc said "ok what we are going to do is send you over to the hospital and we are going to have a baby today!" Drew's exact words were "Oh no, we are not ready!" It was hilarious to say the least. I was so hungry and all I had for breakfast was 2 stinkin waffles, so we went to Jamba Juice before we went over to the hospital. We got checked in and then went back to get all set up to be induced. Finally around 11:30am I was on Pitocin and the contractions were coming. Drew had to run home and get our bag for the hospital, since we weren't planning on having a baby that day we did not bring one single item we needed except for Journey :) Ok, so to make a long story short.....22 hours of labor later, Journey arrived 3 weeks early on June 11, 2010 at 9:24am. She was 6 lbs 9 oz and 19 1/2 inches long. She is just perfect and we are adapting to parenthood very well, especially if you consider dark circles and hallucinations normal then we are doing just fine! Both our families have been very helpful and Journey is so lucky to have them in her life. My mom stayed 2 nights with us and it was a good thing because Drew and I were pretty much clueless but I think we have it down now....Feed the baby, burp the baby, change the baby, repeat! We are so blessed to have Journey in our lives and can't wait to share all the amazing moments with you all.

For everyone in the OKC area, Drew, Journey and I will be in Midwest City at my parents house Wednesday June 23, 2010. You are all invited to a "Snack and See" from 6pm-whenever everyone leaves to meet Miss Journey Rose Joseph!

Can't wait to see everyone and introduce the new member of our family!

<img style="float:left; Our OKC shower was amazing. Drew, Journey and I are so blessed to have so many people who love us! As for the nursery, my mom and I set it up this weekend, I mean seriously the girl needed a room and I was so worried she is going to come early and I wouldn't be able to find all her bows....I mean diapers and wipes :) The nursery set up.....it started off by my dad and brother dropping off the furniture and moving my office to another room. Then me and mom were off....we moved the dresser into place and started on the crib. Seven hours later the crib was sort of put together, I am telling you those instructions were terrible! Ok so the dresser is in, the crib is somewhat put together, bedding is on, now for the changing table. Our next door neighbors gave us a white changing table and me in my infinite wisdom decided to paint it pink! I had already started it last week, and mom helped paint the rest. It was a nightmare, the paint didn't stick and started to peel off....then we couldn't get it put back together! It needs a bit of touch up painting (which I am leaving for Drew) but it's in the room! Drew seems to always be out of town for moving day so I made sure to leave plenty of jobs for him to do in the nursery when he got back! For those of you keeping track, I will be 35 weeks on Wednesday! On a different note, for those of you who have not been informed, Drew and I are moving back to civilization...woohoo!! I am so excited to not have to drive 30 minutes to a grocery store. We will be back in OKC in the fall and are so excited for the move. Drew has been transferred to the OKC Marshal's office and we can't wait to see what God has in store for us with this move and a newborn! The pic above is of Stacey, Aunt Dana, me and Shanda (Hostesses for our shower) and the mom and dad to be (not our best pic)! Below is Journey's room! Love you guys.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiU1NZsxq1tO_wsaZZpOPGY11jz4e9cB_SmKaloFCqNFz0GnKhkITJqyjREscNznCEeP7TSvm_Wn_huw6UT_G47UCwLwpsQXc96U_INSRokdwcCTa8gX5TpKQACx9MTzXKRwmwBFKtBAFE/s320/Journey's+Room" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5474622643384920322" />

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiNRfGgM9MwdYJOFqMUisaMXenRcbOSgRajS384djHht5lT6ndT9XnDUB_646jdBw5XUxGaePYAy2vnaaJEL_skpdHlBJWT7JwRmokbDhD1_uPZiZQJ06zCtJJwWe-XSv7kf59WbGusPaQ/s320/Journey's+Room2" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5474622967702406466" /><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjWidmeRaHJkimEFhWx128ynzERqvbBmdL3Fp16o-kxSwLFoTW8Rz6NVgmKTjdHmFrO2gB_3iJHkw2XwTpz9pUUFe3s32bnF2ZdHAhnZEADcJ-I4k7H7VxufQQTmNURVtRL2leRKy8-3dA/s320/Journey's+Room3" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5474623990946825010" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhvyHBCT7Pb_j0jl6ap-YbN5xbaW27KMjcNO4XkCwlgABS3BTEWWxdrwns6Vz0JnzPFI_3PIey_sEU3yXgDPfFu9YQKvMSm_DUiHvVY5u0HsNXYMtor0WXpND0UeArWwhQvDsqClGLl7nI/s320/Journey's+Room4" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5474624987876195058" />Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13295902834784945563noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8173854059139071545.post-36036723742591952782010-05-02T18:42:00.000-07:002010-05-02T18:57:31.383-07:00The Past Few Weeks!<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEizPzsD_Tql14GWnzMovERZ6u9lfxoV-oxaAOkIosf_3j5XOEEvktzwcTYn0XUEYQaZ7Akge_QDp4GFgViklCn3iCPYY-rkoktQFOvf4fljarX0wTQ7A3rQSfTs47CfDMURFufB2LyPPQs/s320/DSCN0900.JPG.jpeg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5466856859252965218" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-KNUEqgT5hZM9zXdl6taCQhjFGB_rlOK8gVkVJVnZRlhplWR8MKY7YJCdjcqVxR66c9PivOC2QbgjzsD72W-OLYnFFX6JH6KtWSOYXhUyDGFrP_PW8Yj1HYnG6u1TCGnv2gf12VDJWFY/s320/DSCN0901.JPG.jpeg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5466856185681401698" />
Hello everyone! Wow the past few weeks have just flown by. Drew and I have been so busy. We had our first baby shower this weekend and it was so fun. Journey got a ton of cute stuff! Thanks to everyone who came, she is truly loved already. As for you folks in OKC area, invites should be arriving in your neck of the woods very soon. Don't forget its May 15th! Can't wait to see all of you! As for the pregnancy, I am doing very good. I am on the every two week plan at the doc now, so it is getting closer and closer. Monday will be 32 weeks already....can you believe it? All Drew says these days is "I just want to see what she looks like! The pics above are from the Muskogee shower! Hope everyone is doing great! Sorry I have not posted like promised, but I have been so busy. I promise to get better! Well, this week (which is almost over) was 28 weeks. For the most part, I feel pretty good. I have been a bit more tired lately, and not sleeping very well. The most exciting thing about this week was that Drew and I were able to see little Journey's face! We had a 4D ultrasound on Saturday and we were able to see her little eyes, nose and mouth! She only cooperated for a few seconds so mainly we saw the back of her head, but it was such an awesome experience. We also got a pink teddy bear with her heartbeat recorded inside!

The ultrasound was recorded and if you would like to see it the link is

www.AnticipationBabyView.com/AUSTUL/Baby1004101455.asfAnonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13295902834784945563noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8173854059139071545.post-22858395465982754952010-03-04T15:21:00.001-08:002010-03-04T15:30:52.632-08:0023 Weeks!Hey everyone! Sorry I haven't been posting like I said I would. I have been so busy. Well let's see....This week I am 23 weeks, and I am feeling a million times better. I can finally feel her move! For those of you who don't know already it is a GIRL! We have named her Journey....not sure of her middle name yet! She is very active. I am getting bigger by the day and I am more than halfway there! My mom and I went to the JBF (just between friends) sale in Tulsa last week, and it was quite an experience to say the least. There were a billion people there and I have never in my life seen so much baby stuff! We had fun and bought some cute little summer dresses, but it was exhausting. For those of you in OKC area, save the date of May 15th for the baby shower, and for those of you in the Muskogee area, save the date of May 1st. Of course you will all get invitations, but I wanted to give you a heads up! I hope everyone is doing great and since I switched to this blog page, I should be able to post more often. I was having some technical difficulties with the other site (I am sure it was NOT the operator). If you didn't know already, I AM PREGNANT! Which for some of you the title makes sense now! The video below is of our 3rd ultrasound. You can kind of see the arms and legs, you can really see the head (its the big round thing), just use your imagination! Drew and I are soooooooo excited! The grandparents are super excited too! When we first told my family, I swear my dad called me 50 times a day for at least 6 weeks...he was very happy to say the least! I am planning on posting weekly updates on how the pregnancy is going, so I can keep everyone informed since we live in the middle of nowhere! This Thursday we get to find out what the gender of the baby is, mainly so we can start buying stuff!! Right?! The ultrasound below had all signs pointing to girl, so we will find out a little more accurately this week. Other than that, I am getting fatter and fatter by the second, and the strange thing is....my stomach is not growing its my butt! We love you all, and we hope this will serve as a way for our friends and family to share in our adventures!

Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13295902834784945563noreply@blogger.com0
