I know...I know...I say it every post, but this time I admit, I am the worst blogger EVER! But if you had my crazy life, you would find it hard to update this thing too! For those of you that I haven't talked to since I started my new job, I LOVE IT! I have 23 kids in my homeroom and 24 in my math class (I teach 6th grade math to 5th graders)...to those of you that know me this is probably funny to you! I find my job challenging, rewarding, exciting, frustrating, exhausting, and humorous and that is normally all before the bell rings in the morning! I am learning so much from my kids and I hope I am teaching them a few things too :) I truly believe that I have the best job in the world (besides being a mom to the cutest and sweetest little girl ever and wife to an amazing husband)! About that little girl, she doesn't even seem little anymore :( She is so independent and hard-headed (Hmmmm I wonder where she gets this?). She is in the full-blown toddler stage and there is NO holding her back! She loves Melmo (adult translation Elmo) and Memo (adult translation Nemo) and she is very into scaring everyone...BOO! While at dinner the other night, she turned around and BOOed the man behind her! He thought it was hilarious and said it back...what a good sport! She loves to be outside and tried to go down the slide backwards yesterday...as you can imagine this did not go as she planned. Her vocabulary is growing daily and she probably has 20 or so words (that are recognizable). My favorite other than mommy is thank you :) As for the husband, he is spending a lot of much needed time at home before he leaves for overseas. He is enjoying his Journey time, there is something about a daddy-daughter relationship that just melts your heart. He is so good with her. I came home the other day and he was so excited to show me the new word he had taught her...I thought it would be something profound naturally, he said Journey say "Poo-Poo"...and she said it! So now my child knows poo-poo...thanks dad! I also recently had the opportunity to perform (cheer) at the halftime of my high school's football game. My former cheer coach coordinated an Alumni Night and it was a blast! There were cheerleaders from 1960-2010. I was able to catch up with old friends and make a few new ones. I attached a pic of that night...I am pretty sure I still look the exact same (has to be the bow)! As for the new house, we are pretty much settled in. We LOVE it, LOVE the neighborhood and we just couldn't be happier. Well that's what has been happening in our lives lately. Below are some recent pics...Enjoy and I hope your fairytale is as wonderful as mine!

1st Haircut and Ear Piercing!
So we decided to cut Journey's hair. I mean the child did have a mullet, but it was a cute little mullet! I took her to my hair stylist, thinking it would be less traumatic for her...and me. I was partly right, I did just fine, Journey on the other hand had a fit. I am really shocked she has any hair left due to the sudden head movements during the process. But Shelly did an awesome job and Journey looks adorable. I had also been thinking about getting Journey's ear's pierced (for the second time...long story), and I thought why not just make today the most traumatic day of the child's life, so we got her ears pierced too! She didn't take well to the ear piercing lady either...go figure! I think my mom was the most stressed out...quite hilarious. Nevertheless, Journey has an adorable haircut and cute little earrings. I can't wait to put her pearls in that Gramps got her. I am going to have to think up something REAL special for this day next year :)
Cheer Camp!
Last week I had the wonderful opportunity to do a private cheer camp for Fort Gibson High School. I absolutely love their coach and the squad is just amazing. I had the time of my life re-living my cheer days :) Journey had the time of her life with Shari and Mary-Kate Cole, the sweetest people EVER, so patient and they just adored J. I learned two things at camp last week. #1 I miss cheerleading. #2 I am WAY too old to be tumbling!! The pics below are from Journey's 1st Cheer camp and her most recent :) Enjoy!

Captain America...
So I need some creative and cool ideas for my classroom! Our school wide theme is "Hollywood". Our fifth grade theme is "Beyond Marvel" with the Marvel comic characters. My classroom is CAPTAIN AMERICA. Super cute, isn't it! I need some ideas for a word wall, my door, reading center, etc... Any ideas you have send my way :)

1 year already...WOW!
Hi Everyone! Hope you all are doing great :) I figured since I haven't updated this in many many months, I would fill you all in on what has been going on in our world lately! Well, I can't remember if I blogged about moving, but nevertheless we moved in August of last year to Edmond, and we are so glad to be back in civilization! Drew is busy as ever with work and training, I am OFF FOR THE SUMMER and loving it! I graduated in May with my 2nd Bachelors in Elementary Education and I will be teaching 5th grade at Angie Debo in Edmond...I still can't believe I have my very own classroom, any donations are always welcomed and appreciated! I actually met with my team of 5th grade teachers today to plan for the upcoming year, and I am so excited to be working with such amazing women. Most of you reading this are saying....ok ok that's great but what about JOURNEY! Yeah, yeah I am getting to her :) Drew and I are still house hunting, it is extremely difficult to find a house we both love...but I am sure there is one out there, and if there isn't, he will just have to compromise...I mean WE...haha! Ok, so Miss Priss, well what can I say other than that she is a HANDFUL! She starting really walking this week and I couldn't get her to crawl if I put her favorite snack (goldfish) on the floor! She loves Elmo, her blankie, and Hagan (our german shepherd). He is fond of her too, when she isn't pulling his tail or shoving a popsicle stick up his nose...yes she does this! She likes to throw everything out of the basket at the store and laugh hysterically, or she wants to walk next to the basket instead (that's real fun). She is becoming very independent, which breaks my heart because I feel like she doesn't need me...I know she is only "almost" 1, but she is GROWING UP! Her favorite thing this week is to crawl in and out of her little rocking chair...which was my grandfathers rocking chair when he was little! I would be willing to bet she climbs in and out of it at least 40 times per day...I get tired just watching her! I try all day long to get her to play with her cool toys, but she prefers to pull every plasticware item out of the kitchen cabinets or carry around a sock...I mean really, why even have toys!!! I am going to get rich by marketing wooden spoons in the toy aisle! What else....Oh yeah, Journey will be 1 on Saturday, I can not believe it has been a year, I look at her and she looks so big! We are having a Princess Pool Party at Gigi and Gramps house. It should be a blast. Well I think that about covers how the Joseph Family is doing. We love you all, and hope to see everyone soon!
